Computer Repair Technician (Part-Time)

Position Summary
Responsible for performing on-site installation, maintenance, repair and/or installations of desktop products; may include - PC workstations, laptops, printers, terminals, associated devices, and other products. Support includes onsite at Commercial Business locations, as well as Residential In-Home support for consumer purchased computer and/or electronics equipment related devices for installation. May also upgrade existing systems and conduct routine maintenance activities. Ensures compliance with company technical and quality standards/procedures, as well as the highest degree of customer satisfaction, at all times.
DETAILS
  • Full Time - Averages approximately 20 - 30 hours per week, hours are not guaranteed, hours worked are hours paid
  • Location: Base Support City SALT LAKE CITY, UT - travel to local Client sites in SALT LAKE CITY, UT and surrounding areas (approximate 60+ mile radius, and further from time to time)
Hours of Operation:
  • Generally 8:00AM to 6:00PM, but there will be instances in which service is required outside of those hours
  • Monday thru Sunday availability is needed from time to time, but the support will primarily be Monday thru Friday, with occasional weekend service calls, as needed
  • Response Time: Same Day or Next Day support is required as we are servicing Retail, Financial, and Insurance industry accounts
Additional Details:
  • Averages approximately 20 - 30 hours per week ; but number of hours per week are not guaranteed, hours worked are hours paid
  • Hourly rate: $16 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience and existing certifications) ; no benefits
  • Travel Time reimbursement "PORTAL TO PORTAL": drive time is paid at the same hourly rate as On-site repair time (subject to evaluation by Elite mapping software)
  • Mileage reimbursement "PORTAL TO PORTAL": $0.34/mile driven (subject to evaluation by Elite in-house mapping software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described are those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The person in this position must be able to:
  • Frequently talk, hear and see
  • Frequently use hands to handle objects, tools or controls
  • Regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and/or arms, and sit - all for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently be able to read computer terminal screen and use keyboard
  • Ability to stand upright to repair equipment for possible long periods of time
  • Ability to crawl on the floor getting behind and/or under office furniture and/or equipment
